In the first part, we take a closer look at how wireless Internet communication is made possidle. It is a breakdown of the Organizations that stardardize who and how we can operate on certain frequencies, and the methods that wireless networking is implemented. One of my favorite part of this module was the reading over Radio Frequency Fundamentals. Chapter 2 of the CWNA book broke down how radio frequency signals are created, how they move, and how they are interpreted.
The second part is a combination of Cloud Computing and the IoT. They work well together because I think the IoT is made possible with the use of cloud computing. The reading over cloud computing I found to be very beneficial, I saw a side of it that I did not know existed. That being because I never gave much thought or processing power to learning more about it. However, after that reading, I see it is truly the direction that our interconnected world is going. Moreover, and possibly the most important part, the Internet of Things was an interesting read. Another topic that becomes a bit of an oversight, a global infrastructure for the information society which enables advanced services by interconnecting all things and devices as one. The book said: Physical objects + Controllers, Sensors, Actuators + Internet = IoT.
Check out my synopsis on the right that covers the two chapters I enjoyed the most.
Cheers!
